A couple driving home from church in Oklahoma have been dealt a bit of a shock after hitting an elephant which had escaped from a circus.
The couple's SUV hit the elephant as it ran across a rural highway after escaping from the Family Fun Circus.
The couple were not injured in the crash but the elephant's injured its leg and a tusk broke as it tore a hole in the car.
The elephant was taken to a vet for an examination but its injuries do not appear to be serious.
