A strong 5.9-magnitude aftershock offshore of the Chilean coast has sparked panic in the southern-central town of Concepcion, which was devastated by a massive earthquake last weekend.
Emergency officials says there is no risk of a tsunami hitting the area but scared residents fled to higher ground, according to Reuters witnesses.
The devastating quake on Saturday killed more than 800 people.
But Chile's President Michelle Bachelet says the death toll could rise in coming days.
