The lowdown on Winners and Losers
Ever felt like a loser at school? Ever dreamt of revenge on
those who pulled you down? Ever wished you could win the lottery
and change your life forever?
Enter the world of Winners & Losers, a switched-on drama series
that takes us into the hearts and homes of four very different
women.
Melanie Vallejo (Packed to the Rafters) and Virginia Gay (All
Saints) star alongside newcomers Melissa Bergland and Zoe
Tuckwell-Smith as Sophie, Frances, Jenny and Rebecca; four old
friends with little in common except a bond from the old school
days.
Thrown together in high school to avoid the attentions of school
bully Tiffany Turner (played by guest star Michala Banas), the
girls, now 27 years old, believe they have moved on from their high
school days.
But a surprise invite to their "Ten Year Class of 2001 Reunion"
throws into question just how far they have really come.
Does a successful career or a hot fiancé make them one of
life's winners? Or are they still the same as they were in high
school?
The girls attend the Renwood Girls High School Reunion determined
to prove they are no longer the losers they were once dubbed. But
Tiffany Turner hasn't changed and the women remember the solace
they once found in each other's friendship.
As fate would have it, they soon discover what it really means to
be a winner. But does the prize equal happiness? Or will the women
be faced with the challenge of re-evaluating their lives?
Winners & Losers is created by Bevan Lee (Packed to the
Rafters). Executive producer is Channel Seven's Head of Drama, John
Holmes with MaryAnne Carroll serving as Producer.
