1976: When Borg was the King of Wimbledon

The 1976 Wimbledon final is rightly regarded as a classic.

It pitted 20-year-old Swedish wonderkid Bjorn Borg against the charismatic Romanian Ille Nastase.

Borg had twice won at Roland Garros but on this day Nastase, ten years his senior was the favourite having beaten the Swede in their last three clashes.

Nastase also had the Wimbledon pedigree, having reached the final in 1972 only to go down to American Stan Smith.

This evocative video shows behind the scenes access as both players prepare side by side in the Wimbledon dressing room.
