What animals do you work with?
At Orana, any animal that requires treatment.
Why did you become a vet?
I love animals - simple as that!
Your funniest/most memorable animal story?
I've seen some staff have to make quick get aways from
animals like sable antelopes and that is always amusing.
Any memorable stories from the vet clinic?
I remember on a farm once we saw a cow kick the whole
inside of a shed to pieces!
What animal would you like to have in your backyard?
A dog.
What animal would you most like to see in the wild?
Cheetah.
Where in the world have you worked and what animals did you
treat there?
I've worked only in NZ but have worked with all sorts of
animals.
Which animal do you relate to the most?
The big cats - lions, cheetah, tigers.
What do you love most about your job?
The variety involved.
What would you change about your job?
The after hours call outs!
If you could make one change to help save endangered
animals what would it be?
Limit human population. The equilibrium of the planet's
ecology is upset by too many people.
Advice for future vets?
Stay cool.
