*STORM WARNING IN FORCE* Northwest rising to 30 knots this evening, and to 40 knots but 50 knots east of Cape Farewell to Hawera Saturday morning. Northwest easing to 30 knots but 40 knots in the east Saturday afternoon, and to westerly 20 knots everywhere late Saturday evening. Sea becoming high in the east for a time. Southwest swell west of Hawera to Cape Farewell, rising to 3 metres. Northwest swell rising to 3 metres for a time. Poor visibility in rain developing Saturday morning, easing to showers Saturday afternoon.
Outlook following 3 days: Southwest 15 knots but southeast 15 knots in the east. Becoming everywhere Sunday afternoon northwest 15 knots and rising Monday 25 knots and Tuesday 35 knots with very rough sea. Moderate southwest swell easing Monday. Moderate northwest swell at times.
