*GALE WARNING IN FORCE* North of Tokomaru Bay: Northwest rising to 25 knots this evening and to 35 knots Thursday morning. Changing southwest 35 knots Thursday evening and easing to 25 knots Thursday night. Elsewhere: Northeast 15 knots turning northwest this afternoon, changing southwest 40 knots Thursday afternoon, then easing to 30 knots Thursday night. Sea becoming very rough for a time. Southerly swell rising to 3 metres. Fair visibility in showers, heavy at times, possibly thundery in the north tonight.
Outlook following 3 days: Easing Friday evening southerly 15 knots. Tending early Saturday northerly 15 knots, rising late Saturday 25 knots, and early Sunday northerly 35 knots offshore. Changing late Sunday westerly 30 knots. Sea very rough at times.Moderate southwest swell at times.
