Mana Epiha
Mana Epiha of Ngapuhi descent started in broadcasting at the age
of 14 as a presenter for a Rangatahi show on Marae called 'Ka Hao
te Rangatahi.'
One year later in 1995 he worked for Ngati Hine FM Maori radio in
Northland and announced for a Rangatahi show and the 'Ae Marika'
breakfast show a few years later.
In 2001 Mana taught the 'Te Ara reo Maori' language programme for Te Wananga o Aotearoa and in 2004 he got a job as a reporter for Ruia Mai, the national Maori radio news broadcasting outfit at the time.
In 2005 Mana joined the Waka Huia team as a Director/Reporter. In 2007 he moved to Te Karere as journalist, returning to Waka Huia in 2009.
Mana's other passion is composing Maori and English Music for
Maori and mainstream radio.
