Kawariki Morgan
Kawariki Morgan was raised through kohanga reo, kura kaupapa Maori and wharekura. This grounding has given strength of identity in reo and tikanga which has helped Kawariki to pursue a career in the television industry.
He believes that television is the best vehicle to carry reo to the Maori people and the world.
Kawariki's industry experience includes:
- Presenter for the cultural history series "Hawaiki" which was nominated for Best Maori Language Programme at the 2005 Air New Zealand Screen Awards
- TV Director for "Rongoa" a Maori Health series for M?ori TV
- Actor in "Korero Mai", winner of Best Maori Language Programme at the 2005 Qantas Media Awards
- Presenter/Director/Reporter for Waka Huia on TVNZ
