Artistic Licence
Artist John Radford is accusing clothing company Hallensteins of
taking without his permission, images of his sculptures in
Auckland's West End Park and putting them on T-shirts. Hallensteins
says it hasn't infringed the copyright act. Reporter Hannah Hodson
investigated while Susan Wood spoke live in the studio to Ken Moon,
an intellectual property lawyer, about who has legitimate ownership
of the artwork under copyright laws.
Home Heating: Impacts on Health
The Wallis family from Wellington spoke to Connie Buchanan about
how cold their home gets in winter. Studies that have found
that the average indoor temperatures over winter in many New
Zealand homes fall below World Health Oganisation recomendations.
Many families have no heating at all and others use the stove as a
makeshift heater. The

is looking for 600 families to be involved in the
Housing Health Research Study

Vikki Hyde from the

spoke to
Jendy Harper about the validity of myths handed down to each
generation. These include whether carrots make you see in the
dark, whether if you pull a face and the wind blows your face stays
that way, and if chewing gum really takes seven years to
digest.
Drinking Age
A CloseUp telephone and text poll asks the public whether the legal
drinking age should be raised from 18 to
20. The results were: 12,365 said yes it should be
raised. 2,633 said no.
