Helen's feature film credits include Skaggerack (2002) with Iben Hjejle, Flying Fish (2001), playing one of Kevin Spacey's two wives in the feature film An Ordinary Decent Criminal (2000), and a widow on a suicidal quest with Tim Dutton in Dead by Monday, filmed in Canada. 

Helen could also be seen in the BBC comedy Adrian Mole: The Cappuccino Years, in which she played Pandora Braithwaite, the object of Adrian Mole's affection in the mini-series based on Sue Townsend's best-selling book.

In 2001, Helen won the Royal Television Society's Best Actress (North West region) Award for her role as a serving girl in Tales From The Mad House, the BBC series based on the story of Easter, told from the point of view of various characters in a Victorian lunatic asylum.      

Helen's previous television credits include Friends (Series 4 & 5), in which she played Emily Waltham; ITV's An Unsuitable Job For A Woman, in which she played PD James' private investigator Cordelia Gray alongside sidekick Annette Crosbie; The Investigator (Channel 4); Crossing The Floor; Truth Or Dare (BBC) and Cardiac Arrest (BBC). The latter won Helen a nomination for Best Actress at the BAFTA Television Awards.

Previous feature film credits also include Macbeth, in which she played Lady Macbeth alongside Jason Connery and Hungarian drama Bolshe Vita.
