Tony Blair
Is the clock ticking for British Prime Minister Tony Blair? Fifty
backbenchers are said to have signed a letter calling on the Prime
Minister to set a clear timetable for his departure. The unwritten
threat is that if Blair doesn't do that, there'll be an attempt to
topple him at his Party's conference, that's five months away.
Meanwhile, Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown continues to
act the same role, that of the bridesmaid - a bridesmaid who now
definitely wants to be the bride. We background Tony Blair's woes,
then we talk to former Labour Shadow Minister, Byran Gould.
Fair Trade
Who says you can't make a dollar by doing the right thing? Right
now we're in the middle of Fair Trade Fortnight. It's all about
making sure third world farmers get paid a fair price for the crops
they produce. It sounds worthy, and it is, but it's also turning
into a huge business opportunity for companies with an eye for
untapped markets. Sofia Wenborn looks into the business of selling
Fair Trade.

Tietjens
He's a high achiever, many would argue New Zealand's most
successful coach of modern times. Yet Gordon Tietjens, the father
of sevens rugby, has a reputation for being a brutal taskmaster -
fanatical about fitness and training. But its a regime that works.
Under Tietjens tutelage the New Zealand seven's team has notched up
49 international tournament wins, six world series titles and three
consecutive Commonwealth Games gold medals. Now you can read all
about the triumphs and the torturous training sessions in a new
book called "Titch". John Sellwood caught up with the sevens legend
on the eve of the books release.
