Banker
When Dave Jillett spotted a slip of paper tumble from his mum's
purse just before Christmas he was curious. After all, 77
year old Barbara wasn't in the habit of receiving official looking
mail and this piece of paper had the unmistakable Westpac logo in
full view. Dave asked his mum if he could read her mail. To his
horror the letter revealed his mum was in thousands of dollars of
debt, debt Dave knew his mum could never repay. As he told Phil
Kitchin, he wondered how his mum could rack up such ruinous debt
without him knowing? Especially since he'd only recently taken
Westpac to task for increasing his mother's credit card debt
limit.
Orewa Speech
Two years ago the National Party seemed stuck in opposition. But a
speech in the holiday and retirement spot of Orewa changed that.
Don Brash used his 2004 Orewa speech to bring National back from
the dead. A speech which started a red hot debate about the
relevance of the Treaty of Waitangi and all policies perceived to
be race based. Last year Doctor Brash attacked welfare. This year
it's ten pages long, takes about 35 minutes to read and covers all
sorts of things- the economy, immigration, the Resource Management
Act (RMA), and of course, attacks the Government. Don Brash is
live. Plus, former ACT MP Deborah Coddington and political
commentator and author David Slack share their opinions.

fame and fortune for his family. He shared his reasons with Laurna
White. Geoff will be raising public awareness about
Autism
during his final
performances with Amici Forever in New Zealand and Australia.
