All alone
Sam is sleeping in the master bedroom so he can be kept secret from the other contestants. Awanui (who plays Rima the Schemer) observes that Sam may have overheard them talking about their "performances". But Sam says he didn't really stick around to listen.

Painting challenge
The contestants are all dressed up as French painters, and to win a lounge suite, they must paint a picture on various body parts of a model of the opposite sex. Special guest Charlotte Dawson will judge the contest.

Sam is "randomly" selected to paint the bottom of the female model.

"I had to hold my little finger on her outer thigh," giggles Sam.

During the painting, Charlotte pays Sam paying him a lot of flirty attention, eventually showing him her own tattoo.

Mule "wins" the competition, and Tiffany is selected as the loser, which means she is on bread and water for dinner.

At dinner, Tiffany charms the room with tales of socialising with Charlotte Dawson, and she eventually reveals that she had once "pashed" Dawson. Mary the Virgin vocalises her amazement.

Mark macks on Mary
Mark the host talks about his career at dinner. Mary is clearly enamoured of his celebrity. He then hands out signed photos. But on Mary's photo, he has written her a note in which he dotes on her with "sexy language" (Sam's words).

Tiffany
Sam and Tiffany are conversing on the balcony, The plan all along was for Sam to dislike Tiffany, but as Sarah (who plays Tiffany) observes, this is not happening.

"I think he sees Tiffany as kind of a damsel in distress," says Sarah.

At breakfast the next day, Ben mentions that Mule had slipped over that morning and aggravated a back injury.

Briefing
At an actors briefing, the cast are coached on their behaviour. In interview Kirsty (who plays Betty) reveals that she was originally going to be the next one leaving the house, but because certain other actors aren't being disciplined enough in their performances, she will now be staying.

At the briefing, it is revealed that at the impending "sumo" challenge, Mule will be injured and carried off on a stretcher.

Sumo challenge
This challenge in inflatable sumo suits is for immunity.

When Sam is fighting Mule in the first semi-final, Mule takes a fall according to plan and an ambulance arrives to take him away. The others observe that this causes Sam's heart to sink.

On the stretcher, Mule wails and moans relentlessly for "Charlie".

Awanui says in interview she thinks overacted. Charlie (who plays Ben) concurs.

"That behaviour isn't real," he says.

"It seems artificial," Sam says in interview. The interviewer attempts to throw Sam off the scent by suggesting Mule was pulling a Hollywood for TV. Another potential crisis averted.

Because of the incident, the challenge has been declared a no-result, which means that as Mick was already wearing the immunity robe, he gets to keep it. Sam is bummed.

Sam macks on Rima?
On the balcony Rima asks Sam what went on between him and Tiffany on the balcony the previous night.

"Nothing," says Sam, flustered by all the suspicion.

Tiffany then talks to Sam and says that Rima told her that Sam kissed Rima. Sam is shocked, and heartily denies it. Sam discusses the sitch with Ben.

"It's bulls**t," says Sam. "Absolute bulls**t. It's a bit of back-stabbing, a bit of double-crossing.

Elimination ceremony
Everyone is reminded that they cannot vote for Mick. Mule is wheeled in on a stretcher to make his vote.

Sam votes for Mule, citing his back problems as a reason.

As the votes are read, there is one for Sam. Once again the person who writes big 'M's has voted for him.

The majority of votes are for Mule, who proceeds to make his leaving comments: he tells Sam he shouldn't feel bad for what happened, and that he wants Sam to "take this game by the scrotum and shake it like an English bulldog." He then reads a poem he wrote about Sam. He then says that he sees Sam as a son. Then he salutes. Honestly Mule, give it a rest.

Tiffany observes correctly that the whole thing is too out there, and she wonders aloud if Sam is an actor, and they are the ones being scammed.

Stephen Hall (who played Mule) says in a post-show interview that he's looking forward to having a beer with Sam in the real world.
