Jeremy Birchall: 'Billy the Gay Guy'

Jeremy Birchall admits that keeping in character as gay cross-dresser Billy from morning to night could be a real strain.

"Billy is extremely different from me. Billy dresses differently, walks differently, talks differently, and is much softer and feminine than me. It was exhausting. Even things like answering a knock at the door & I had to answer in Billy's voice and never my own to stay in character."

But the 30-year-old actor, choreographer and dance teacher (he's won national titles in aerobics and hip hop) wouldn't hesitate to do it all again. "It was exhilarating to only have basic storylines and you have to improvise it as you go along. There were no rehearsals or anything; just a meeting every day to block out basic storylines and then they just trusted us to run with it."

Jeremy admits his busy work life doesn't leave time for much else apart from his girlfriend and his friends. Even his "time off" after Living the DreamĀ  is being spent editing a short film he has made, starring Sarah Pierse.
