Dominic Chianese

(Uncle Junior Soprano)

Dominic Chianese began his professional acting career at an off-Broadway theatre in 1952.  His Broadway credits include "The Rose Tattoo," "Scratch" and David Mamet's "Water Engine."  In 1972, Chianese made his film debut in the feature "Fuzz" and soon after landed a role in Francis Ford Coppola's classic "The Godfather: Part II."  He has made three films with legendary director Sidney Lumet: "Dog Day Afternoon," "Q & A" and "Night Falls on Manhattan." 

Other screen credits include actor/director Tim Robbin's "Cradle Will Rock," "All the President's Men," "...And Justice for All," "Fort Apache, the Bronx," "The Thomas Crown Affair," "Once In the Life," and more recently "Unfaithful," starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane.  Among Chianese's television appearances is a recurring role on "Law & Order," as well as roles on "Kojak," "East Side, West Side," "Beacon Hill" and "Dark Shadows."

Chianese was nominated for the 2001 Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Corrado "Uncle Junior" Soprano.
