The New Zealand men's basketball team has lost 69-62 to China in their second pool game at the Athens Olympics.
The Chinese star centre Yao Ming scored more than half of China's points, ending the game with a 39 point haul.
The top scorer for the Tall Blacks was Phill Jones with 23 points.
It's the second loss for the team, after the two point loss to Italy in its first match and although the team have three games left to prove themselves, they now have a mountain to climb to finish in the medal places.
ONE Sport interviewed Mark Dickel and Dillon Boucher after the game and both players were left bitterly disappointed after the defeat following their narrow opening defeat to Italy earlier in the tournament.
The Tall Blacks will next play Serbia and Montenegro on Thursday.
