New Series. A recent worldwide study of new businesses shows that New Zealand is one of the most entrepreneurial countries in the world. But we also have one of the world's highest failure rates among new and developing businesses - every year 2700 New Zealand companies fail, and the majority of those are new or fledgling companies. Typically the problems stem from lack of business experience and not following fundamental business principles correctly. To remedy this, dysfunctional companies with bad business practices and internal conflict are thown a liferaft, in the form of straight-talking Peter Leitch (aka 'The Mad Butcher') and his CEO, Mike Morton. Leitch, a skilled businessman who has built an empire of 30 stores around New Zealand, with a combined yearly income of around 130 million dollars, is widely reputed to be a man of the people, and he, together with Mike Morton, will provide support for thousands of ingenious Kiwis who have come up with great ideas, great products and novel business concepts, but don't have the necessary grounding in business to make them succeed.
