This epic 6-hour miniseries screened in 2 parts, is a dramatisation based on some of the events published in the 'The 9/11 Commission Report'.

Starring Harvey Keitel, Donnie Wahlberg, Patricia Heaton, Amy Madigan, Dan Lauria, Stephen Root, and Penny Johnson Jerald, among many others, the actors portray the famous, infamous and, in many cases, formerly anonymous and often heroic individuals thrust by events on to history's stage.

Beginning with the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center and ending with the morning of 9/11, the miniseries takes viewers on an unforgettable journey through the events that presaged that fateful day.

The Path to 9/11 was highly recommended by David McPhail, reporting for the  Sunday Star Times on September 3rd. He said "...record The Path to 9/11 on TV One and keep it. Forever."

This series has aroused a storm of controversy in the United States, about the level of accuracy in some of the events depicted.  As a result, the American network ABC made some late edits to the mini-series.  TVNZ is screening the edited version, including the following disclaimer:
