Facing a New Life in Papua New Guinea

Martin Kepa is the young Papua New Guinea man whose face had been ravaged by an aggressive, elephantitis like tumour.

Through the generosity of Close Up viewers, a New Zealand businessman and Waikato Hospital, Martin's life has changed forever.

A few days ago he boarded a plane back home to his remote village in Papua New Guinea. His friends and family will hardly recognise him - not only has the tumour gone but he's had a new world of experience in his three months in New Zealand.
