The Greens have revealed a few fresh faces for the upcoming election.
The first six list positions are filled by sitting MPs and
co-leader Russel Norman.
But new candidates include West Coast District Health Board chief
executive Kevin Hague and law lecturer Kennedy Graham, the
brother of former Cabinet minister Doug Graham.
The Greens biggest problem is that many polls have them under the
5% threshold needed to even get into parliament.
MP Nandor Tanczos is expected to confirm soon when he will stand
down, so Norman can take a seat in parliament before the
election.
Metiria Turei has moved up two places on the list to fourth, while Sue Kedgley has dropped back two to sixth.
Also on the top 12 list are campaigner Catherine Delahunty, David Clendon, Gareth Hughes and Steffan Browning.
"New Zealanders have come to expect high standards from the Greens and the calibre of this list stands up to that test," say Greens co-leaders Russel Norman and Jeanette Fitzsimons in a statement.
"The Green list combines experience and passion.
"These are people who care deeply about the future of Aotearoa New Zealand and have a track record of working to make our country and our world a better place."
More information on the candidates can be found on the Green website.
