December's football match between David Beckham's LA Galaxy and an Oceania XI has all but been confirmed for December 11 in Auckland.
Oceania Football chief Tai Nicholas has been scouring the world looking for players for the fixture and said there are just a few legal and technical details to sort out before the contracts are signed.
It is understood the Auckland Regional Council is putting $1.2
millio into staging the match at Mt Smart Stadium.
Last year Beckham's Galaxy team played a match in Wellington
against New Zealand's A League team the Phoenix.
