New Zealand U19 squad named

New Zealand Cricket has announced a group of 23 players for an Under-19 training squad, which will undergo training during the winter.

National age group selectors Kaushik Patel, John Wright, Dipak Patel (coach) and Lance Cairns confirmed the squad at a panel meeting this week.

These players will be considered for a place in the New Zealand Under-19 team which will tour England during July and August 2008.

New Zealand Under-19 training squad:
Joe Austin-Smellie (Wellington), Nicholas Beard (Otago), Harry Boam (Wellington), Doug Bracewell (Central Districts), Michael Bracewell (Otago), Craig Cachopa (Auckland), Tamati Clarke (Northern Districts), Fraser Colson (Wellington),Andy Dodd (Central Districts), Matt Farrant (Canterbury), James Fuller (Auckland), Jono Hickey (Northern Districts), Tim Johnston (Canterbury), Thomas Latham (Canterbury), Andrew Mathieson (Northern Districts), James Neesham (Auckland), Michael Pollard (Wellington), Dean Robinson (Central Districts), Bevan Small (Central Districts), Anurag Verma (Northern Districts), Ben Wheeler (Central Districts), Kane Williamson (Northern Districts), Peter Younghusband (Central Districts).
