Violent video game worries group

Lobby group Family First is furious at this week's planned launch of the violent video game Grand Theft Auto.

The game, among other things, allows players to buy cocaine, run over civilians in cars and shoot police officers.

Family First says encouraging this sort of behaviour is not acceptable.

But chief censor Bill Hastings says the game comes with an R18 rating and it's up to parents to monitor what games their children are playing.
