The men's double boat, and single scullers Mahe Drysdale and
Emma Twigg, are in quarter-final action on Tuesday night, at the
Rowing World Championships in Munich
Drysdale is up against British rival Alan Campbell while Twigg
faces China's Xiuyun Zhang who has two World Cup podium finishes
this season.
Like them, the men's double of Nathan Cohen and Matthew Trott need a top three finish to make the semi-finals.
Cohen says brand new starting blocks to hold the boat will help their chances.
He says there's no excuses for getting it wrong now, but it took a bit of getting used to as it makes a strange sound just before you get set to go. He compares it to being like a submarine surfacing.
Cohen is expecting to make the semi-finals because in-form crews Estonia and Slovenia should set a cracking pace.
