Yes, that's the new name for the New Zealand's only professional football team which will play in next season's A-League.
Terry Serepisos, who financed Wellington's A-League bid, said there was never any doubt about keeping New Zealand in the title.
Serepisos said around 250 names had been suggested and those
were short-listed to a final six before the Phoenix was decided
upon.
The name is a fitting one for the side which so nearly missed out
on being part of the A-League before being bailed out with a
last-minute bid.
