Imprisoned in Poland
A year ago a Kiwi working in Katowice, Poland, was
arrested and put in jail after the collapse of an exhibition hall
owned by the company he worked for. The snow-laden roof's collapse,
which killed 65 people, led to Bruce Robinson and others from his
company being incarcerated. As yet there hasn't been a trial and
Bruce has remained in a Polish prison. While the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and Trade have visited him and ensured he has
medical care, phone calls and visits, his parents Dave and Carol
are worried about him and say the situation for father of three
Bruce is untenable. Mark Sainsbury talks to Dave and Carol Robinson
in the studio, and Rawdon Christie outlines the history of Bruce's
situation.
Friends of Bruce Robinson have set up a petition to try to free
Bruce which can be reached by clicking
