Working Smart
Three weeks ago we had Dr Adam Fraser on the programme, a health
and wellbeing expert from Australia. We got an email after
that interview, from advertising agency Woods Creative, who reckon
they are practising what Dr Adam Fraser preaches. Can you still run
a successful competitive business while your staff are taking time
out and getting in the flow? Gill Higgins took a trip to Tauranga
to find out.
Barkley Manor
When it comes to pampering pooches, Krista Johnson's been called
barking mad. Six weeks ago the self confessed animal lover set up a
daycare business for dogs. With the stately name of "Barkley Manor"
this luxury doggy daycare can be found on the outskirts of
inner-city Auckland, resplendent with flock wallpaper, sash
curtains and treatment that can be described as only the finest.
And it seems that's what many owners want when they have the money
but not as much time as they'd like to spend with their four-legged
friends. Laurna White went along to find out about designer doggy
daycare.

Making Science Fun
We've heard a lot about the knowledge economy these past few years,
how important it is to start looking at what we can export in the
way of innovation and brainpower, rather than continuing to rely on
meat and butter. That's all good in theory but at the same time our
University's science enrolments are at their lowest levels in
almost a decade and it's a problem that starts right back in High
School. Well four young students from Waikato University reckon
they might have found the solution and they've got some high tech
heads agreeing. Damian Christie heads to Hamilton, and ends up in
Korea.
