Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban
Cast: Daniel Radliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma
Watson, Gary Oldman, Robbie Coltrane.
Director: Alfonso Cuaron
Harry and chums are back with a new, ever so slightly darker, adventure.
Following an incident in which he inflates his horrid Aunt,
Harry (Daniel Radliffe) runs away from his guardians the Dursleys
and finds himself at the non-muggle inn The Leaky Cauldron. There
he catches up with his old school chums and learns about the
titular convict, Sirius Black, who has escaped.
Legend has it that Black was the man responsible for leading Lord
Voldemort to Harry's parents, resulting in their death.
En route to Hogwarts, Harry, Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) have an encounter with a blacked-cloaked Dementor, one of the legendarily ruthless guards of Azkaban, who is on the hunt for Black. They trio are saved from the creature by the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher Professor Lupin (David Thewlis).
With Dementors stationed at Hogwarts, an ominous tone spreads over the school term. Has Black come to kill Harry? What does he know about Harry's father's death? How will Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane) do as a teacher? And just how is Herminone making it to all those classes?
Trivia: Alfonso Cuaron had never read the Harry Potter books or seen the first two movies when he was offered the job of director.
