About the show
The hilarious entertainment format that features a different celebrity host every week. Filmed in front of a live studio audience, the show features comedy sketches, hidden camera stunts and prizes. The celebrity host, from actors and musicians to celebrity chefs and sports stars, is supported by two comic presenters.
The host opens the show with a topical comedy monologue. This is followed by footage of a bonding session with the comics filmed early in the week, and ends with an hilarious dream sequence comedy sketch.
Next comes a spoof news bulletin read by the host and one of the comics, who recount the weeks most amusing stories and perform a topical sketch.
Through the show the comics compete to prove who knows the most about the guest host and each recruit half of the studio audience to play along. The winner then runs into their side of the audience wearing the Coat of Cash a jacket covered in money and the audience members get to keep whatever they can grab.
Next up is a series of hidden camera stunts where the host plays tricks on unsuspecting members of the public, with surprising and amusing consequences.
The audience are then invited to ask the host anything, and they can answer in any way they want serious, funny, honest while the comics chip in.
The show climaxes with a game show finale, which features three rounds inspired by the hosts most famous moments or from the weeks news, with one lucky audience member winning a great prize. A band or music act then close the show. The Friday Night Project is entertainment programmimg at its best.
