Rape case debate
There were some highly emotional scenes at the end of the Tea Ropati trial today... the former league star was acquitted of all sex charges and walked from the court hand in hand with his wife. Ropati's lawyer Gary Gotlieb claims the police should never have brought the charges in the first place but the head of the inquiry, detective senior sergeant Scott Beard, says it would have been irresponsible not to take the case to the jury. Both Gotlieb and Beard are live in the Close Up studio.

Ad ban
Criticism over the banning of a Charlie's soda advertisement has spilled into a row about double standards on television. Marc Ellis and the ad's writer have taken issue with what they have described as the two sets of  standards, one for TV programmes and one for advertisements. Are advertising rules out of step with the rest of society and does the system need an overhaul? Joining Close Up to discuss the issue was Charlie's director Marc Ellis, Glen Wiggs former CEO of the Advertising Standards Authority and Gavin Bradley.
