Up to 40,000 Rolling Stones fans are expected at Wellington's Westpac Stadium on Tuesday night, for the band's second New Zealand concert.

The band's Easter Sunday concert at Western Springs in Auckland was attended by nearly 55,000 people, some of whom complained their view was blocked by trees, but Wellington organisers promise that will not be a problem in the stadium.

There were also noise control complaints from local residents during the Auckland concert.

The New Zealand herald reported that neighbours said the Stones' performance was the loudest event they had ever heard at Western Springs. Several callers also complained to talkback radio stations with one claiming his house was shaking.

Westpac Stadium chief executive, David Gray, is not expecting any complaints about the noise, as it will be monitored throughout the concert to keep it within allowable levels.
