New Zealand's biggest recreational mudslide opened in Opotiki on Tuesday as part of a plan to get children away from video games and television, and into some very Kiwi fun.
The slide took a month to make, and with 60 long metres of twists, turns, and drops, all 300 visitors who turned up for the opening were kept entertained.
The Opotiki District Council hopes the slide will push families outdoors to experience local scenery and adventures.
