About Praise Be:
Praise Be is TV ONE's key religious series screening
throughout the year on Sunday mornings. The long-running series
began in 1986 and has been based at Avalon Studios since
1995.
Now in its 27th year of uninterrupted production, the show
continues in its role as the major source of worship on TV ONE, for
a very loyal and devoted viewing audience.
The series contains 100% New Zealand content from a wide range of
interdenominational choirs, music groups and congregations singing
a varied repertoire of hymns, songs, sacred and contemporary
music.
Chris
Nichol
continues to host the programme, as Praise Be
travels around the country recording new material, updating its
extensive music library. Each programme is linked with
interesting background information about the music, New Zealand
churches and Christian life.
Praise Be is 100% funded by New Zealand On Air and is the only
weekly religious programme produced using 100% New Zealand talent
and crews.
