So You Wannabe A Popstar? A Christmas Celebration

This show is currently off-air

It's a celebration of the Yuletide season in So you Wannabe a Popstar? A Christmas Celebration.

The cast of the successful series - Cocksy, Blair Strang, Katrina Hobbs, David Wikaira-Paul, Jessie Gurunathan, Mikey Havoc and Louise Wallace - get together with special guests to sing the Christmas songs we all know and love. This warm, humorous and festive show will be perfect for all the family after the excitement of Christmas Day.

Guests include NZ Idol winner Rosita Vai, runner-up Nik Carlson and shock elimination Teresa Bergman. Graham Brazier returns after his wonderful rendition of 'Blue Lady' with Mikey Havoc in the original series.

There will be lots of surprises and Christmas fun with duets, solos and the stars joining each other in their performances. The show is no holiday for the stars though because the same So you Wannabe a Popstar? rules apply. With only two hours' worth of rehearsal and dance coaching, the pressure will still be on to perform; the difference though is that this is not a competition, but pure entertainment for a New Zealand Christmas.

The audience, both kids and mum and dad, will be singing along to all their favourite songs. With classics such as 'White Christmas', 'Santa Baby', 'Little Drummer Boy' and 'Rocking Around the Christmas Tree' there will be something for everyone.

The party atmosphere of So You Wannabe a Popstar? A Christmas Celebration will include the well-known celebrities backstage and the funny moments and will make this show a really special Kiwi Christmas celebration.

Oliver Driver once more brings his sense of humour to the festivities, and while the randomizer will be taking rest in this one-off special Oliver will have some other surprises for the cast during the show.

Catch the Christmas cheer in So You Wannabe a Popstar? A Christmas Celebration on TV2 at 6.00pm.
