The union representing medical laboratory workers says another strike could be on the cards with their pay dispute in limbo.
Spokesman Stewart Smith says there have been no formal talks
with district health boards since staff returned to work this week
after a seven day strike.
Smith says further strike action is an option and he is encouraging
DHB's to get back to the negotiation table.
Hundreds of patients had surgery deferred during the strike by 1,200 medical laboratory scientists from 15 DHBs, three private labs and the New Zealand Blood Service.
