Family abuse has made for agonising news this month and Sunday
takes a look at another sobering story.
Cheryl Pareanga came from a family of inter-generational
abuse. She did everything she could to break free, so did
those she went to for help.
But Pareanga at the age of 33, was savagely murdered just as she had predicted, by her abusive partner. He was jailed for 15 years in June.
Sunday's Jackie Maher asks whether anything can be done to prevent such incidents when all the safeguards could not stop this deadly case of family violence.
