It will be a few more weeks before the star attraction at Auckland Zoo greets her new fans, but that didn't stop school holiday crowds waiting for a glimpse of Jin the otter.
And despite a few scratches, Jin's vet expects the four year old to make a full recovery after her days on the run.
It will be a few more weeks before Jin's out of quarantine and able to frolic with her family but her days of normality are numbered. She can shy away for now, but it's a life of celebrity in the future.
