Auckland Waitakere and Southland are set to contest the final of the National Netball Championship in Rotorua on Saturday.

Southland narrowly beat North 55 - 54 while Auckland Waitakere defeated Otago 50 - 42.

Auckland Waitakere coach Paula Bailey says they will look forward to the clash.

She says it sets up a good final as Southland were the only side they lost to in the round robin's.

Southland defeated Auckland Waitakere 46 - 43 in round one.

Auckland Waitakere are expected to be without mid-courter Jenny May Coffin who has a knee injury.

Coffin is retiring from netball after this competition to concentrate on her new role presenting sport bulletins for ONE News.
