The most famous face in town, David Beckham, was seen at the Monsoon Poon Restaurant on Thursday night with four of his LA Galaxy team mates.

"It was a normal thursday until we got a visit from someone coming in saying they were bringing a famous person in," says Mike Egan, the restaurant owner.

Beckham and his team mates were at the restaurant for an evening meal.

"A table of women were walking out of the restaurant and he walked past them and they just turned back round and sat back down at their table," says Egan.

According to the assistant manager, James Bennie, he ordered ckicken wings, squid, potato curry with naan bread, with rice on the side and finished of his meal with some gelato ice cream.

Bennie suggested a kiwi classic for Beckham and his mates to finish off their meal.

"They wanted to try a beer, so I suggested a Kiwi beer...the new Steinlager Pure," says Bennie.

Becks was happy to pose for photos with delighted diners, leaving staff with a permanent souvenir and memories they are likely to love for a long time.
