A new giant iceberg is heading our way and it is reportedly the biggest yet.
The large chunk of ice is sitting around the same latitude as Stewart Island - around 100 nautical miles southeast of Dunedin - and is one of at least three large icebergs in the area.
A helicopter pilot who flew over the iceberg on Sunday morning says it is possibly up to a kilometre long.
Iceberg fans have been flocking by boat and air since Wednesday to get a closer look at other giant icebergs that have been visible from the Dunedin coast.
The masses of ice originated from Antarctica and are slowly melting in the warmer waters.
Now, those who missed out on seeing the first set of icebergs may have a second chance.
