There's a strong Kiwi presence this year on one of Britain's most popular TV shows.

Strictly Come Dancing has the same format as TV1's Dancing with the Stars and is watched by a fifth of the British viewing audience.

This year there are three New Zealand professional dancers on the show including Brendon Cole and Erin Boag but all the attention is on All Black captain Richie McCaw's girlfriend Hayley Holt.

Holt, fresh from Dancing with the Stars, is now strutting her stuff on Strictly Come Dancing, saying she would have kicked herself if she didn't try out for the show.

Her dance partner on the show is Mark Foster, a five time British Olympic swimmer.

With about 10 million Brits viewing the show, Holt is the toast of the tabloids, as her boyfriend is the All Black captain.

"Apparently my love life has been in the tabloids, which is probably not that interesting to be honest," says Holt.

With a lot of sensual dance moves, questions are being asked if Foster could handle a jealous All Black boyfriend.

"I met Richie and he's a lovely lovely guy, no we're purely professional dancing - getting on very well," says Foster.

And Holt is not very concerned.

"Richie is very proud of me - he's being the best sort of boyfriend you could ask for, supportive and he wouldn't ask for me not to do it,' says Holt.

British bookies have Foster and Holt as third favourites to win Strictly Come Dancing.

The competition winds up just before Christmas.
