Police have reunited a carpet python missing for more than two months after slithering away from its Brisbane home with its owner.
Rusty the python disappeared in early December, sparking a heartbreaking plea from his owner to help find the missing snake.
Since then the entire neighbourhood has been on snake watch since then.
Snake experts told Rusty's owners he would not travel far and the much loved pet was found snaking across a street and into a drain about 150 metres from his home.
Apart from a small graze to the head, Rusty was in good shape after his two months on the run.
