A new national census designed by the University of Auckland and Statistics New Zealand is asking unusual questions to get inside the minds of young people.
The census aims to get a real insight into the country's young people.
More than 1,000 schools around New Zealand are taking part in the census which asks students aged between 10 and 15 everything from their use of technology such as cellphones to who they admire the most and what size their feet are.
With more than 40% of schools signed up the results are sure to be of interest to advertisers.
