After a meeting in Melbourne on Sunday with the FFA, New Zealand Soccer knows what they must do to secure A-League football in this country next season.
NZ Soccer CEO Graham Seatter met with FFA officials Ben Buckley and Matt Carroll before the A-League grand final on Sunday.
Seatter has been given until March 1 to accept the A-League licence offer made to NZ Soccer last week.
It is expected the licence will then be sub-let to an investor or group of investors.
"It was a very productive meeting and it's given us a clear insight into the importance of the opportunity in front of us," Seatter told NZSoccer.com.
"We have to go away and analyze things and make a decision on whether we take the licence and if so, how we move forward and get investors over the line."
It is thought Seatter will meet with the chief of the Wellington-Palmerston North bid John Dow this week.
