Simon Maling is quitting the All Blacks to join Japanese club Suntory via a brief spell at English club Harlequins.
The 29-year-old Otago lock, who has won 11 All Black caps and last played in the 40-26 Tri-Nations loss to South Africa in August, said he would be joining Suntory on a three-year deal.
But as his contract does not begin until next May, Maling has decided to sign with London-based Harlequins for the intervening period.
Maling
will join fellow former All Blacks Pita Alatini and Alama Ieremia
at Suntory.
