Interactive TV
Research in the UK and the US estimates that a person spends nearly a quarter of their waking hours in front of a television. With the arrival of interactive television viewers now have the opportunity to involve themselves without ever leaving their armchairs. Dominic Laval of the Irish-based company Emuse Absolutely tells ASB Business the implications for the advertising industry and about his company's deal with Sky TV.

Whisky
The origins of bruichladdie single malt whisky go back to 1881. Based on the island of Islay in northwest Scotland, the distillery ended up in the hands of the Jim Beam company which closed it down in 1994. But a group of investors revived it five years ago and it is now producing 60,000 cases a year. Michael Wilson asked the company's master distiller, Jim McEwan, about the market for whiskey and the importance of the special peat flavour.

Fashion Week
Westpac is one of the key sponsors of New Zealand Fashion Week and close on 1,000 New Zealand businesses operating in the fashion industry are clients. As the "first bank of New Zealand fashion" they are staging a unique show on Saturday night where five of the industry's top designers come together under the "red collection."
