Warriors halfback Stacey Jones became the first player to be awarded life membership of the club at the beginning of this season.

The little general holds almost every major club record, including most games, most points, most tries and is the only remaining player from the inaugural 1995 squad.

Jones will be looking to lead the Warriors back to the playoffs after missing them for the first time in three years last season.

Age: 28.

Position: Halfback.

Height: 171cm.

Weight: 82kg.

NRL Debut: 1995.

Former clubs: Nil.

Earliest memory: Going to a Kiwis test versus the Aussies at Carlaw Park - I think it was 1983.

First rugby league club: Ponsonby Ponies - at age four.

Best thing about rugby league: Being able to do something you love.

Worst thing about rugby league: Losing.

Favourite food: Mad Butcher's sausages.

Favourite movie: Braveheart.

If I was able to have dinner with any three people, who would they be? My wife and my parents.

If I wasn't a rugby league player, what would I be doing? No idea.

Childhood hero: Michael Jones.

Biggest influence: Mum and Dad.

Best advice my mother gave me: Don't forget to eat your lunch.
