Filmed in the style of 'Drop The Dead Donkey', this half hour series is a hilarious and mischievous deadpan comedy about the bureaucrat in the throws of organising the extravaganza of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
This pseudo-documentary series set within the SOCOG (Syndey Organising Committee of the Olympic Games) organisation, takes a fly-on-the-wall view of the unfolding Olympics 2000 drama, as the Management Team draw closer to the big event.
John Clarke plays the prickly team leader, prone to bone-dry quips, dirty tricks and scathing remarks; Gina Riley as the faintly acerbic PR person, and Bryan Dawe as the quietly flustered money man with his eyes on the bottom line.
This show is classic Aussie satire at its best.
