Marae poll has Maori MPs safe

A just-released Marae Digipoll has some good news for the Maori Party, but its tidings are less positive for Labour.

A poll of the Maori electorates Te Tai Tokerau and Tamaki Makaurau show the two sitting Maori Party MP's, Hone Harawira and Pita Sharples, well ahead of their Labour challengers.

Hone Harawira has 69% support compared to Kelvin Davis's 25.8% percent in Te Tai Tokerau.

Pita Sharples has over 77% support in Tamaki Makaurau, while Louisa Wall scores just 13.5%.

The Maori Party is also outstripping Labour in the party vote in both electorates.
